Jeffrey has been practicing his passion for light in the built environment for over 25 years. His extensive experience in lighting for film, television and theater taught him about manipulating the quality, color, and intensity of light to reinforce the story and emotional response of the audience. Recognizing the link between visual storytelling and experience of the planned environment, Jeffrey brought his skills to architectural lighting design. His projects are driven by the latest proven technologies, awareness of sustainability and ecological impacts, and a design strategy based on the human experience of light and form.
His broad knowledge of luminaires, spatial quality of lighting, controls and specifications sets the bar for excellent lighting design at BEAM. His award-winning projects reflect his dedication to finding creative solutions for the most difficult challenges. Jeffrey’s passion for lighting and the professional lighting community led him to previously serve in multiple roles at the Philadelphia IES Section: founding Chair of The Philaments Awards program; long tenured member of its Board of Managers, and two terms as President of the Board.
Jeffrey is an avid snowboarder and intermittent emergency room patient.
