A great time + an Award of Merit at IALD Enlighten Americas

Christina Spangler attended the IALD Enlighten Americas 2024 in San Diego, CA in
mid-October amongst other leading lighting professionals to share their insights and learn about the latest trends, concerns and values of the industry.

The conference did not disappoint with many thought-provoking presentations including a dive into the history of slots, coves and planes; a candid conversation about transparency in lighting costs; additional clarification about human-centric lighting; and an engaging discussion about the importance of diversity, equity and inclusion in the lighting industry.  The keynote speaker, Tupac Martir, offered an inspiring look into his creative vision, illustrating how light can enhance and altar the human experience.

The conference concluded with the 2024 IALD International Lighting Design Awards, where Christina and Jason Bradshaw received an Award of Merit for Saint Mark’s Church in Philadelphia. Christina and Jason designed discreet lighting bringing the Gothic Revival architecture back to life. The design expands the volume of the interior and reveals sculptures, paintings and other features.
