Lighting infuses a retro Stay and Play roadside hotel
The dramatic renovation of the Wayback, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio property, in Pigeon Forge, TN transformed this basic roadside motel into a hip destination. BEAM designed the lighting for all areas including the reimagined entry Porte Cochere, lobby, restaurant, guestrooms and breezeway, pool, landscape and parking.
The existing pool was upgraded to a private oasis with cabanas and a permanent airstream food truck. The lighting invigorates the pool and swim club for nighttime events, including color-changing accent lighting for the deck, glowing globes within the pool, catenary lighting over the lounge area and twinkling fiber optics in the hot tub.
