Refined illumination enhances the lawn and pathways at The Mann to improve the concert going experience
The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, located in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park, took on a significant renovation to improve the lawn area, promenade walk, and top of the hill entry by Georges Hill Drive.
Infamous to Philly residents, the Mann has a fantastic reputation as an exciting summer venue where many have fond memories listening to concerts, sitting on blankets on the lawn, so low-level lighting was imperative to enhance the experience and not detract from the performers.
The lighting design encompassed: illuminated handrails for the seating areas; concealed egress lighting along the pathway separating the lawn and the seating; multipurpose light poles along the promenade; pole and bollard lighting for the top of the hill entrance; signage lighting; and lighting for the historic ‘Law, Prosperity, and Power’ statue.
