Historic revitalization uses lighting to revive dilapidated hotel into a boutique gem in Center City
BEAM collaborated with architect and interior designer to reinvent the former Parker Hotel at 13th and Spruce Street in downtown Philadelphia, with color, lighting and restored finishes. The interior lighting greatly enhances the revived interiors: concierge, first floor restaurant and lounge, gym and private guest suites.
In addition to adhering to Marriott’s lighting standards, the team selected decorative luminaries that both reflect the building’s history of Colonial Revival and Art Deco, as well as modern décor for today’s traveler.
New lighting at the exterior façade and a rediscovered, hidden marquee highlights this handsome historic building that had once been abandoned and in disrepair for years.
