Drexel’s Historic Costume Collection + Exhibition space benefits from excellent lighting
BEAM designed the lighting for the custom-built gallery space for this renowned collection of fashion and textiles at Drexel University. Through a series of mock-ups with the client, multiple LED options were considered to provide a UV-free environment. The final solution incorporates a simple, low cost yet very high-quality LED MR16 with a variety of lens and filter options, creating a flexible solution for a variety of configurations.
In addition to the gallery, the space contains classrooms, archival workspaces and storage. The work and storage areas, previously lamped with fluorescent, were retrofitted with LED lamping.
