New lighting for the renovated galleries and updated interior architecture brings the exhibits to life at the Delaware Museum of Nature + Science.
Working closely with the architect, exhibit designer and the exhibit-integrated lighting specialist, BEAM oversaw all lighting aspects from new designs, lighting technology updates, and post-installation fine tuning, aiming and focusing.
At the outset, this non-profit needed to manage its resources very closely. BEAM closely tracked costs and made best use of the lighting package and construction budget while maintaining a sense of high-level design. Strategizing to allocate premium equipment to high-impact encounters was afforded only by inconspicuously updating undisturbed, existing luminaires with state-of-the-art technology.
After final installation, an intensive aiming and focusing visit to completed to highlight the exhibits. We continue to work with the museum to provide aiming and focusing for ongoing changing exhibits.
