BEAM illuminates luxury living on Broad Street in Center City
BEAM’s lighting design for Broad + Noble, an upscale 18-story apartment tower in downtown Philadelphia, elevates the design into a vibrant and sophisticated complex. At the exterior, industrial-style lighting exudes the history of brick factory lofts yet coexists with a uniquely illuminated façade to create an airy, ethereal aesthetic. The retro-styled water tower atop the podium is highlighted from below and serves as a beacon for the building.
In the lobby, concealed architectural lighting accents focal areas and features, as decorative lights take center stage and guide residents through the space. BEAM designed the lighting for the amenity spaces – lounge, podcast room, bar, and outdoor terrace – with a variety of integrated luminaires in ceilings and millwork to create an uplifting, welcoming space. The apartments include a simple, standardized lighting approach utilizing downlights and decorative lighting.
Overall, BEAM worked seamlessly with the design team and ownership to reflect their vision of a stately luxury apartment tower glowing vibrantly at night along Broad Street.
