Illuminating an ‘office in the clouds’ at One Liberty Place
The full renovation for Clark Capital Management Group, situated in the iconic One Liberty Place in downtown Philadelphia, offers a dynamic and inspiring workspace. Coordinating closely with Gensler, BEAM integrated luminaires into architectural features and millwork pieces throughout the 40,000sf workplace. The central feature of the two-story office is the suspended staircase from the 53rd to 54th floors, beautifully illuminated with concealed handrail lighting.
Throughout the two floors, BEAM integrated a variety of lighting strategies: indirect pendants and troffer systems for comfortable workspaces; grid mounted linear downlights at lounges and executive offices, and integrated cove lighting to accent wood and open ceilings.
The lighting designers worked with a local decorative lighting fabricator to provide sculptural luminaires in meeting spots throughout the office. At Harry’s café, named after the founder, bespoke warm glow pendants and discrete downlights placed in a large, mirrored ceiling creates a warm and welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
