Junior Lighting Designer (2+ years experience)

Candidates should possess a strong design sense and eager to learn the field of lighting design. Knowledge in lighting design is not necessary but experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop and InDesign programs is required. We are searching for energetic and responsible candidates for a full-time position to work in a comfortable, friendly environment, to collaborate with the designers and principals.

The position includes supporting our lead designers on a variety of public and private sector projects. Tasks include: drafting and revising drawings; generating lighting calculations; creating presentation drawings and images; revising cut sheets and luminaire schedules. We offer continual opportunities for professional development and encourage employees to attend conferences and lighting tradeshows, as well as participate in the local and national lighting design and construction community.

Senior Lighting Designer (10+ years experience)

We are looking for full-time in-office (preferred), hybrid or remote Senior Lighting Designers, who can run and manage lighting design projects. The role involves overseeing lighting design, control and implementation on a variety of projects. the individual will work closely with other team members in a collaborative effort to ensure high-quality and creative designs. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, a strong design sense and overall success in the field of lighting design.

Qualifications:

  • Previous work experience in architectural lighting design firm with technical experience and ability to design, organize and schedule projects
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Bluebeam, Photoshop, InDesign + AGI photometric calculations
  • Good luminaire knowledge, lighting design strategies, specifications + controls experience
  • Ability to perform lighting design assignments, supervise lighting design staff, manage client contact, coordinate with consultants and adhere to project scheduling
  • Confident speaking and writing skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Motivated team player
  • Excellent Organizational skills
  • Passion for lighting design and learning is a must
